West Hickman & Town Branch
Water Treatment Plants
Wastewater Treatment Systems Project
Involving the removal and replacement of the entire existing SCADA and PLC hardware from both the Town Branch and West Hickman Creek Wastewater Treatment plants. This also included 82 pump stations scattered throughout Fayette County. Our scope of work was to provide the city with a completely new PLC based control and monitoring system with a user-friendly, state of the art, SCADA control room at the two plants, without disrupting their 24 hour operation.
Benefits Of The Projects
- Real-time monitoring and maintenance call-out to address issues as they happen
- Zero disruption of the plant’s 24 hour operations
Controls & Scada Improvements
Our scope of work included providing over 100 replacement PLCs with programming, six servers, eighteen workstations, 82 Radio-based Telemetry Units (RTUs), and nine new intelligent motor control centers. Also, two SCADA central control rooms with programming. The SCADA system features a user friendly, state of the art, high-resolution 3D graphical system. It includes plant monitoring, fault annunciation, trending, and full system web-based reporting. We provided all of this plus instrumentation, controls design, commissioning, and training.
